I am a passionate massage therapist dedicated to helping people recover from injuries so they can continue to do the things they love. It is truly gratifying to see the joy and excitement that my clients experience when they are able to get back to their active, high-functioning lives.
I am also a grounded energy healing practitioner who is a Reiki Master Teacher and Cyndi Dale apprentice using tools to transmute energies.
My journey into the world of body-mind-spirit began at the Boulder College of Massage Therapy. It was there that I first discovered the incredible power of massage therapy and acupressure to help alleviate chronic pain and fatigue, and to promote overall wellness.
Through my work with clients, I have come to understand that our physical bodies are just one part of a larger energetic system. This is where biofield therapy comes in – by working with the energetic matrix that surrounds and permeates our bodies, we can help to clear blockages, release stress and tension, and promote healing at all levels – physical, emotional, and spiritual. This holistic approach to my practice helps my clients to identify and address the root causes of their discomfort.
Whether you are dealing with a recent injury, chronic pain, or simply looking to improve your overall wellness, I am here to help. With my extensive training in massage therapy and energetic techniques, I can help you relieve tension, promote relaxation, and restore balance to your body, mind, and spirit.
Thank you for considering me as your massage therapist, Reiki, or energy healing practitioner. I look forward to helping you achieve your goals and feel your best!
Offerings and Trainings…
Therapeutic Massage based on special training in
- Myofascial Release
- Trigger Point therapy
- Whiplash treatments
- Lumbar and Sciatica relief
Accidents and injuries may involve whiplash, head trauma, and may also have emotional components inhibiting full release of muscles.
Release Your Whole Body
Holistic health considers the whole body. So, if your lower back pain, it helps to address the the front and sides of your back as well. The lower back may be compensating and pulled taut by your quads, the front of your thighs. Or the back is torqued to one side by your psoas muscle in your belly. I easily think and sense muscle tension patterns in 3 dimensions. So, we get to multiply aspects of the pain, so it can heal completely.
Similarly for shoulder tension. The neck and upper back may be where you feel it. Yet the “chest opening” muscles and the arms are usually also involved in creating the discomfort. My trainings in the include:
- “Anatomy Trains”, the three-dimensional fascial bands that spiral through and connect muscles throughout the body hold reverberations of impact far from the site of injury.
- Emotions such as grief, anger, and overthinking may be somatic signals from organs.
- These themselves can be issues and they can also cause disruptions to the back, shoulders, emotions, and the enteric nervous system, the gut brain.
- Addressing the belly thoughtfully and with care helps relief these parts of the body-mind. (Training in TCM abdominal massage, Chi Nei Tsang, Mayan abdominal massage, J-P Barral Visceral Manipulation, and Shiatsu’s acupressure points)
Release the Nervous System
- Upledger and Jim Asher CranioSacral and Tibetan Cranial
- Psycho-neuro-immunology / vagus nerve /energy medicine
- Nerve Entrapment for upper body (including Thoracic Outlet syndrome and Carpal Tunnel Syndrome).
- Gemstone energy medicine releases on physical, emotional, mental, and causal planes (I integrate what I’ve learned to become the tool, also!)
- Ayurevedic training on the Koshas
- Healing Touch, Reiki, and other Energy Medicine techniques
Experiment versus Experience
My background as an Electrical Engineer, with a degree from CU – Boulder, has given me a unique edge in understanding the physics of forces and flows in the body, biomechanics, and the particle-waves of energy. With years of experience working in the industry with high-frequency test equipment, I was exposed to the most advanced technological developments in areas such as communication systems, photonics, electromagnetic interference equipment, and military applications.
However, after transitioning into my current career as a bodyworker and energy worker, I have come to appreciate the incredible complexity of the human body. Unlike technological devices, the body is capable of repairing itself and adapting to various stressors. Even something as simple as wound healing is truly amazing. Witnessing the body’s resilience and healing ability, even after severe impacts and trauma, has given me a deep appreciation for the power of human biology.
My prior knowledge of light, sound, and electromagnetism from my engineering background has given me a unique perspective on interpreting research related to those aspects of the human body. My hands-on experience as a massage therapist and biofield therapist allows me to compare and contrast research experiments with the experiences of myself and my clients.
At Energy Medicine University, I had the privilege of studying with renowned teachers such as Dominique Surel (Intuitive Intelligence), James Oschman (The Scientific Basis for Energy Medicine), Mali Burgess, and Beverly Rubik. During my studies, I focused on exploring how biology heals itself, with a particular interest in differentiating chi or prana from the electromagnetism of the body. Through this exploration, I’ve come to appreciate how chi and prana bring consciousness, information, and compassion as part of the healing process. This is often accompanied by changes in the body’s electromagnetism, light (biophotons), or sound, although not always in ways that I would expect. My unique background has led to more questions than answers as I continue to delve into the nascent fields of bioenergetics and quantum physics of healing.
For the past two years, I have continued my studies primarily in Cyndi Dale’s apprenticeship program, where I’ve focused on exploring the subtle body and energy medicine. This has been the most rewarding and fun part of my journey yet.
